A large garden, which leads down to the River Lemon, has a trellised seating area to enjoy the valley view, picnic table and children’s play equipment. A gas barbecue is available on request for al fresco dining! Several pairs of ducks nest along our stretch of river and herons can frequently be seen fishing for brown trout as you stroll along the river bank - we have fishing rights if you like the idea of a spot of fishing! In all, our grounds extend to approximately 12 acres, including a large separate children’s play area, so there is plenty to explore. About half a mile up the road from us is the Dartmoor Halfway Inn which is well-known for its extensive all day menu if you fancy a break from self-catering. One mile in the other direction is a golf driving range with a nine hole course.
